An AI assistant for the work in your inbox
PMC Assistant works in a small business's own email, spreadsheets, files and web apps. It does the reading and the first draft. Your staff review its work and decide what goes out.
Patrick McElroy Consulting LLC runs it for its client businesses and sets it up with each one. Access is by invitation. To ask about it, write to consulting@patrickmcelroy.me.
What it does
- Email. Reads messages and attachments in a mailbox your organization connects, pulls out the details that matter and saves draft replies. A person reviews and sends every one.
- Spreadsheets. Looks things up in the sheets your staff link and, after a person approves, adds or updates rows.
- Documents. Answers questions from the documents your staff link or upload, such as rate sheets, trackers and procedures.
- Web apps. Looks things up on the websites your business uses, from its own separate browser. Anything it would change there waits for a person's approval.
How it uses Google data
Nothing is connected until someone at your organization chooses to connect it.
- Google sign-in: your name and email address, to know who you are. Signing in gives no access to your email or files.
- Gmail: reads messages and attachments in the connected mailbox and saves draft replies. It has no way to send from your mailbox.
- Google Sheets: reads spreadsheets and, after a person approves, updates them.
- Google Drive: opens the Docs, Slides and other files your staff link, read-only.
Content the assistant works on is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude models do the work. We don't sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. Our Privacy Policy has the details, and our Terms of Service cover using the service.
